Mama Africa Junior

Mama Africa Junior plays Afro-Caribbean beats that lift your feet. They are the little brother of the group Mama Africa in Dakar, Senegal. Their Senegalese drums and instruments bring the real West-African feeling to Fest Africa. Check out videos on Facebook!

Sofy

Sofy is a Zambian-Congolese singer talent who has been successful in for example the multicultural Ourvision music contest. She published her first afrobeat single Leo on 2019. Sofy is also a member of the Saisba. Sofy has been inspired to music by her father, also a musician, who has always encouraged his daughter in her career in music.

Makadem

Makadem is one of Kenya’s most remarkable artists. He is known for his distinctive style combining traditional Kenyan instruments like the string instrument Nyatiti with for example electric bass, guitar and keys. His music is full of tradition and story telling, and he’s a true specialist in Kenya’s urban Benga music. Makadem has toured the world from USA to Marocco and is now coming to Tampere make Fest Africa dance.
