As a part of this years festival you will see an exhibition about African women. The exhibition presents a collection of photos by Eeva Johansson and paintings by Louna Widenius.

Eeva Johansson has taken photos in different parts of Africa. In them, women are portrayed in the most familiar surroundings to them, both at work and at celebrations. Thus, the photos also offer to the audience a view to everyday life in Africa – a paint completely different picture of Africa than the media. The colourful paintings by Louna Widenius present African women in Finnish landscapes.
